Dan biedt Krav Maga de empowerment die je nodig hebt. We beseffen ook zeker dat, vanwege het fysieke contact, de KravMaga zelfverdedigingstraining eng kan zijn. Het prikkelt wellicht ook de herinneringen aan het incident. We houden hier altijd rekening mee. We bieden niet enkel een veilige trainingsomgeving en een zeer ervaren trainer. Is het voor jou nog te vroeg en concluderen we samen dat je nog het een en ander dient te verwerken, dan hebben wij onze contacten bij Slachtofferhulp Nederland die jou graag te woord staan, adviseren en begeleiden.

Sometimes you cycle or walk somewhere on the street where you do not feel safe. Perhaps sometimes you even avoid these places because you are afraid something unpleasant might happen. Alkmaar Pride wants everyone to be able to walk the streets safely. Even if this requires improving street lighting or pruning bushes more often, for instance. Our meeting helps to bring these places into focus. Of course, we will work on your own resilience.
Safety is a broad theme, but it mainly stands for protecting your own boundaries. That could be outside on the street, but also at work or at school. When someone does not respect your boundaries or deliberately ignores them, it is important that you know how to stand up for yourself and just as important that you know how to prevent a situation from escalating. Together, we are going to learn that.
For the Alkmaar Pride event ‘EMBRACE EMPOWERMENT’, Roze in Blauw, Tijgertje LHBTI Krav Maga and International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF Nederland) joined forces to give LGBT people the tools to increase their resilience and sense of safety. In doing so, De Stadsfabriek Alkmaar supports us by making its space available.
We invite LHBT+ people from the Noord-Holland North region to join us this evening to delve into the current themes of ‘safety’, ‘resilience’ and ’empowerment’, in other words: standing in your own power. Your safety starts where you take control.
Programme
The evening will be presented by Jan Pieter de Lugt of Tijgertje LHBTI Krav Maga / Self-defence.
Jan Martijn Stout, police spokesperson and Roze in Blauw (RiB) educator, will introduce you to RiB, the LGBT+ network of the police, using the 7 golden W’s.
Afterwards, Sharon van Dongeren of LHBTI sports club Tijgertje LHBTI Krav Maga in collaboration with Stephan Wattimena of the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) will give a demonstration of the self-defence method Krav Maga, which everyone is invited to experience for themselves.
Before the event, we will have dinner together at De Stadsfabriek and during the break we will have a drink to exchange experiences, or just socialise!

Then Krav Maga offers you the empowerment you need. We also certainly realize that, because of the physical contact, the Krav Maga self-defense training can be scary. It may also trigger memories of the incident. We always take this into account. Not only do we offer a safe training environment and a very experienced trainer.
